Oncure's Medical Advisory Board is open to all physicians who are affiliated with Oncure's cancer centers. The primary functions of the Medical Advisory Board are to:
Assist in the development and adoption of clinical policies, procedures and protocols to be implemented in the radiation therapy centers or to be used by the affiliated hospitals or the affiliated radiation oncology groups;
Assist in the development and administration of quality assurance programs, ensure all physician and other professional licensing and implement continuing education programs;
Assist in the formulation of a strategic plan for each affiliated radiation oncology group designed to improve the performance of the related radiation therapy facilities; and
Act as a liaison to the Company CEO and the Company Board of Directors.
The Medical Advisory Board also outlines physician recruiting goals, identifies services and equipment to be added, identifies desirable payor relationships, identifies other radiation oncology groups that are possible affiliation candidates and facilitates communication with other affiliated physician groups in the Oncure network.
